Professional Development for Dentistry & Oral Health

Advancing Expertise, Improving Patient Care

Designed for dental and oral healthcare professionals committed to lifelong learning, the HKU Faculty of Dentistry's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) seminar programme provides access to the latest advances in dentistry, emerging research, and evidence-based clinical practice. Participants will gain current knowledge and practical insights that can be readily applied to professional practice and patient care. All seminars are accredited for CPD / CME points by the Dental Council of Hong Kong and the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong.

The programme will feature 60 CPD / CME seminars held on most Thursday evenings from September 2026 to June 2027, with two seminars offered each evening. Covering a diverse range of contemporary topics in dentistry and oral health, the series provides flexible opportunities for professional learning throughout the academic year.

Participants may enrol in the programme through the purchase of a CPD package, entitling them to attend any 10 seminars at a discounted rate. Additional packages may be purchased to enable attendance at more than 10 seminars. Two enrolment options are available to accommodate different CPD administration preferences:

Flexible CPD, Your Way

The HKU Faculty of Dentistry offers 60 seminars (2 every Thursday evening) from September 2026 to June 2027, at a fee of HKD400 per seminar. To provide greater flexibility, participants may enrol in CPD packages in blocks of 10 seminars, redeemable for any 10 seminars throughout the programme. Two enrolment options are available to accommodate different CPD administration arrangements.

By submitting a registration form, the registrant agrees to the following Terms and Conditions:

  • Full payment must be received prior to attendance at the seminar/workshop.
  • A confirmation email will be sent on successful registration and receipt of payment.
  • The HKU Faculty of Dentistry shall not be responsible for errors in payment, including incorrect cheque amounts or inaccurate payment information submitted by the registrant.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable. No refund will be provided if a registrant is unable to attend a seminar/workshop for which they have registered and paid.
  • Registrations are non-transferable and may not be assigned to another individual.
  • The HKU Faculty of Dentistry shall not be responsible for any loss, delay, or inconvenience arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the registrant.
  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, is in force on the day of the seminar/workshop, the seminar/workshop will be cancelled. Participants will be notified of the cancellation by email.
  • The HKU Faculty of Dentistry reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify any seminar/workshop programme where circumstances so require.
  • In the event of any dispute concerning registration, participation, or interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision of the HKU Faculty of Dentistry shall be final.
  • The HKU Faculty of Dentistry reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
